Introduction by - Michael Bentine

ALL WITHOUT MALICE

When I was a very young and inexperienced combatant in the last war, Giles had a special meaning for me. Somehow, magically, he took the terror out of it all. His HITLER and MUSSOLINI were wonderfully funny caricatures which cut those monsters down to size.

To-day, over twenty-five years later, Giles is still tilting at windmills, cutting the pompous, the vainglorious and self-important down to their right proportions.

Yet he does it all without malice. Unlike the so-called satirists, Giles pen never drops hate - it is just filled with honest to God, down to Earth, good humour.

In a world filled with violence, his truly is one pen far mightier than any sword.
